Risk governance
Choose the responsibility, then specify the role or body, its authority, accountability and duty.
Example: The hotel’s board approves its risk appetite statement. The chair is accountable to the board for ensuring the approval process is completed. These are fictional arrangements.
Read the four concepts together for the named role or body. The recipient of its account need not be the person to whom its duty is owed. Responsibility does not itself grant authority.
